We all live in an interconnected “social media fueled” world where your best friends are just a click away and everybody has mobile phones. A couple of years ago we used our mobile phones just to call friends, family and the boss when we didn’t feel like work. Now we use our laptops to email when we’re on trains, planes and even in the car, we use smartphones to have video chat and we use our iPhones to download and play music.  All of these enable us to say connected…24/7.

For the vast majority of us, Facebook has become the “defacto” point of connection between us and our loved ones. Now here’s the good news…Facebook has gone mobile!!!! Yes…now you can connect on the run!!!

We can access the site through the mobile facebook login page and leave messages for friends, update our Facebook status and even get our friends contact info from the personal address book when we need it.

Unfortunately only the “core” facebook features are available at this time but soon we will start seeing more and more facebook applications appearing. I can't wait for Mafia Wars on my mobile.

There are a number of different ways of accessing Facebook on your mobile phone. Some mobile devices and services use applications to connected with facebook like blackberry for instance. You can also use the Facebook mobile website http://www.facebook.com/mobile/ ,which is a mobile phone friendly version of the main Facebook site.
