A domain name is your address on the internet, domain registration is the first step towards building your online presence for you or your business. You can also use it to personalise your email account eg.: yourname@yourdomain.co.za.
How long does it take to register my domain?
Domain names are registered immediately. Provided the domain is available the registration fee is paid and your registration information is filled out correctly.
Should I choose a local domain .co.za or an international one .com?
We recommend registering both .co.za and .com as these are the most popular top-level domains. However if you are planning to target a specific country you should also consider the country specific domain such as co.za for South Africa. When possible register both to secure your name and brand.
What do I do when my preferred domain has been registered by someone else?
If your preferred domain name has already been registered you can also search for an alternate such as a .com, .co, .xyz, .org etc. Our search will also suggest domain names to help find one that works for you.
Can I add a website hosting package later?
Website hosting packages can be added at anytime you want depending on your needs and budget. You can order a hosting package directly through our website or from your Customer Zone.
